How We Select Diamonds
Every diamond we present has been personally reviewed by Manuk. Over four decades, he has built relationships within the industry that give us access to stones most clients would never find on their own. A grading report is where we start — not where we stop.
We consider proportion, brilliance, spread, symmetry, and most importantly, how the diamond actually looks in person. Two stones with identical reports can present entirely differently. That's exactly what Manuk's four decades at the bench are for.
Natural or Lab - Grown
We work with both. There is no single right answer, and we won't pretend there is.
We'll walk you through the differences, compare options side by side, and help you understand how each fits your priorities — whether that's origin, size, or budget. The goal is the diamond that's right for you, not the one that's easiest to explain.
The 4 Cs, in Context
The 4Cs are a starting point. Here's what they actually mean in practice.
Carat is weight — but weight and size aren't the same thing. Two diamonds of equal carat can look very different depending on how they're cut and proportioned. We always consider dimensions alongside weight.
Color describes how much visible warmth or tint a diamond carries. The difference between grades can be subtle on paper and obvious in person. Seeing them side by side changes everything.
Clarity refers to a diamond's natural characteristics — internal and external. What matters most is whether those characteristics are visible to the eye. Many are not.
Cut has a major influence on how a diamond interacts with light — its brilliance, fire, and overall appearance. A well-cut diamond can appear more brilliant than a larger stone with poor proportions.
You don't need to arrive knowing any of this. That's what we're here for.
The Report Matters. As Does the Stone.
Many of the diamonds we work with are accompanied by grading reports from GIA, IGI, or other independent gemological laboratories. We'll walk you through what the report tells us and what it can't.
Then we put the stones in front of you. You'll see how differences in cut, proportion, color, and clarity actually look in person, in your hand, in the light, next to each other. We answer every question. And we never rush you.
See it for Yourself
We keep a selection of natural and lab-grown diamonds in the studio. If you're looking for something specific, a particular shape, size, or quality, we can source additional options tailored exactly to what you have in mind.
Sometimes the right diamond is obvious the moment you see two stones next to each other.
When you're ready, we're here.
